Seven Months

I can't believe we are on the downhill side of year one. This month has been a very busy one for our little munchkin. Here are some new things that month seven brought... FOOD! Eloïse likes carrots, avocado, asparagus, spinach, and beans. She does not like applesauce and rice. Not sure about pineapple. But she definitely enjoys the skin benefits of turning her dinner into an impromptu homeopathic face mask. Next stop—puffs!

Eloïse sits like a pro, can push up on her hands and knees, and yet still gets grouchy if she's been on her tummy for too long (even though I know she's completely capable of turning herself over). At night, we often wake up to her peeking out of the moses basket in an upward facing dog position. Even in the glasses-less, dark fog of 3am, her expression is obvious: "Milk!?" She wants to eat 2-3 times a night. Apparently the ambiance is perfect, though the waitstaff is occasionally grumpy.

We went on our first family beach day, and as the photos will tell, she enjoyed sitting in the sand, but was not particularly excited about the icy Pacific.

The Great Debate: Will Eloïse ever have teeth or hair? I am going to begin taking bets. My predictions are first tooth at 8 and a half months and first hair clips at 14 months. On the bright side, we don't have to worry about biting, and she has plenty of hats and headbands.
