March 30, 2020 - 7 weeks, 4 days
In a delightful reversal of circumstances, my seven-year-old is reading me a bedtime story while I lay miserably on the couch. She also serenaded us with “Somewhere over the Rainbow,” which she says she is practicing for when the baby arrives.

Today - 31 weeks, 6 days
I’ve spent more time laying down this pregnancy than I’d like to admit. Growing, feeding, and sustaining a life is very hard work. Most days it feels like Baby Boy is draining the life right out of me. Because pregnancy is particularly hard for my body, it’s a constant humbling reminder that I am finite. I am not in control. I am weak and very much in need. (☠️ for an #enneagram8)

But where my heart refuels 💗 is considering how God’s nourishing supply is never-ending and perfectly filling. And when our need required life drained out for us, it was He who freely supplied.
